Bayou Rose

Every year, I am amazed at the different honeys we make in different areas of Texas. This year, in the Bayou of Deep East Texas, we produced a most distinct honey from “Rose Mallow”. “Rose Mallow” is a flowering plant in the Hibiscus family, it’s nectar was very yellow like a popular sports drink. The honey cured out a very light-yellow green hue and will pair nicely with any bread, cheese or beverage.
